Whispering Pines VFD was founded by local landowners in 1956. At one time Whispering Pines VFD had seven stations in the district. WPVFD as it’s known today has seven apparatus and fights wildland and structure fires as well as provide emergency medical to surrounding homes and area. Wildland and Wildland Urban Interface (WUI (WOO-EE)) is a primary response and education center for WPVFD. The Firewise program is something everyone in our district should look at and consider.
